Summary: This is a descriptive and explanatory project, and its major purpose is to show how motivational strategies can be applied in a private high school classroom. This research is based on the grounds that motivation facilitates that learning takes place effectively. After describing and explaining the fundamentals of motivation, this work offers a pedagogical proposal which consists of a one month workshop for senior year students of a private high school. This proposal shows a series of interesting activities arranged from lower to higher levels of cognitive demand.
