Summary: This work describes, studies, and closely explores the way Grabe’s and McNamara’s models could fit in the context of reading comprehension and so define perspective routine to work within a specific classroom. The pedagogical proposal consist of a unit on detective stories, which prompt students to use reading strategies and become strategic readers.
