Title: How to teach vocabulary to second graders


Summary: This study consists of three parts. In the first part, the work focuses on teaching new vocabulary to second graders. Special attention is paid to the different learning strategies when presenting new vocabulary and to the choice of suitable activities for learners of seven and eight years old. In the second section, the work introduces the use of portfolios as tools to promote reflection while learning. In the last section, the pedagogical proposal offers a practical application of the strategies to present new vocabulary.
