Title: Fostering children’s reading motivation: Becoming a poet


Summary: This study consists of and analysis of several elements involved in the teaching-learning interaction in order to use literature to develop critical thinking while increasing students’ interest in learning English. The final goal of the pedagogical proposal is to prevent students from seeing a text as something frightening and impossible to decode as well as to increase their motivation.
